The M13C assault rifle, for example, has had its maximum damage increased from 31 to 32, meaning it is now capable of a 4-shot kill if at least one bullet is a headshot, Sledgehammer says. While the majority of the patch appears to be centered around buffing some classic Modern Warfare 2 weapons, the update does also nerf Modern Warfare 3 ‘s DTIR 30-06 battle rifle . Added as part of the Season 6 Battle Pass, the DTIR 30-06 quickly became the new meta weapon in both Warzone and Modern Warfare 3 . Sadly, the popular battle rifle has received a substantial nerf in both games, reducing the weapon’s torso damage multiplier from 1.3x to 1x in Modern Warfare 3 and increasing the gun’s recoil kick to 32deg/s from 27.5deg/s in Warzone . I agree that that’s classic, however, when we popped that in there it did not look good. It really looked dated and it didn’t feel like it belonged in this modern space with this game, especially with all the other improvements we made along the way. So we figured out what the timing was for the ADS and decided we could not deviated from that in our limits. Then we created the animation that moves up and it feels more natural because you connected to your weapon a little bit more and at the last minute if you noticed it, it still pops. We felt that that was an important part, but we ended up doing more of an animation into that. So those are just a couple of different ways we took that.

I just want to be clear because people are going to ask about it?’ He was like ‘are you kidding me? I wouldn’t touch the f’ing music with a 10 foot pole.’ So I was like ‘Okay, I wanted to be clear.’ So no remixing, it’s possible that we’ve done some cleanup. I know that for the VO we felt that that was very iconic, but for the radio VO it was very hard to hear some of it. Earlier this year, Warzone decreased the obstructive VFX on Modern Warfare 2 weapons to make them more in line with Modern Warfare 3 weapons, but now many shotguns, handguns, and more are perfectly viable options in the 2023 shooter thanks to the latest rounds of buffs.
